What a terrific event AuthorFest 2016 was! Thanks to everyone who came by–and there were a lot of you! It was great to see so many fellow children’s book authors, some from right here in Portland and others from farther afield. I finally got to meet local (to Portland) author Gail Donovan, whose books and launch events my daughter and I have been enjoying for years. After the event, the authors were invited to a luncheon. Caped AuthorFest!! Wait, no. It’s not, really. It’s Cape AuthorFest, as in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. Come meet over 70 authors and illustrators from New England and beyond! AuthorFest will run from 10-2 on Saturday, April 9th in the Cape Elizabeth High School gymnasium at 345 Ocean House Road. 10-11 am will be open only to librarians and educators.
